A Tour Part 2
HORIZONS PRO VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM.
I have a love/hate relationship with this rezzer but most problems come from difficulties I have crawling through the documentation and "debugging" strange behavior. Generally speaking, the system works as advertised. Important caveats:
- Build your scenes more or less exactly as the documentation requires. I will show you a few shortcuts.
- your scene elements must have copy/mod permissions. "Copy" to allow the rezzer to copy them into sl (rezzing). "Mod" to allow placement of a script in the object. This last requirement seems to be common in all the rezzers I have tried.
- Even so, some objects will behave oddly. It's best to double check your procedure in this case but eventually give up on stuff that simply won't rez right. Take it from me, it's not worth spending weeks trying to track down whatever is going on in these cases.
In the following, I will quote extensively from the documentation that's included with the package. There is so much that it can be difficult to parse out what's really important from stuff you don't need at first and may never use.
Here, I will sketch how I use the rezzer to create the holodeck scenes and rez-on-demand sky boxes. I'd love to chat about all this in-world (BetttyVerdant).
When I have a moment, I will walk you through creating a simple scene. TBA.
